Director of Music

This award winning band, ( National Concert Band Festival Gold winners ) invites applications for the position of Conductor and Director of Music. We are a community band established in 1988 and have around 80 members. The music played is varied in type and complexity.

Ideal candidates will have experience conducting wind band music, exhibit a rapport with amateur musicians and demonstrate the personal skills required to interact with a wide variety of individuals of varied ability and age.

The post will be available from September 2008. Auditions will take place in the spring 2008.

Rehearsals take place on a Tuesday evening and we perform two main annual concerts and other smaller ones.
